The Juvenile Hurlers captured the Leinster Title for the 35th time following a 2-10 to 0-14 victory over Kilkenny CBS in a thrilling Leinster Colleges Juvenile Final played in Nowlan Park on Wednesday May 13th. A goal in each half (see the 2 goals below) kept the Kieran’s lads in touch before producing a brilliant display in the closing 10 minutes of a tense final to win by 2 points in the end.
Trailing by 2 points (2-6 to 0-14) with minutes remaining the Kieran’s lads dug deep to score the last 4 points of the game without reply to win the game in dramatic fashion. Capturing the Dr Barry Cup for the 3rd year in a row capped an excellent year for the Juveniles as they had already won the Leinster League following a 4-18 to 1-16 victory over Dublin South in April. For photos from the League Final v Dublin South please click on the photo below.
