Extra Curricular activities have always played a vital role in the life of St Kieran’s College. Participation is encouraged for all students in all years. Each one of these activities contributes to the overall wellbeing and holistic education of our students but also forms part of their memory of their student days.
Some of the extra-curricular activities that we offer have very obvious benefits for some aspects of both Junior and Senior Curricula. Such co-curricular activities are ever evolving depending on the needs of the students, the school and curricula changes.
We offer a wide range of extra and co-curricular activities including BT Young Scientist Exhibition, Debating, Public Speaking Competitions, Poetry Aloud, Chess, Gaisce, Green Schools, Truck and Tractor Run, Book Club, Board Games and Charitable Initiatives.
Over the years, we have also encouraged and supported students with interests and talents in other extra-curricular and co-curricular areas such as the Science Olympiad, The Rotary Club, No-Name Club, Ossory Youth Clubs, Young Film Makers and more.
We are always happy to explore new extra-curricular and co-curricular activities with our students in order to give everyone a chance to develop their gifts and talents in their area of choice.
